The Cybersecurity Liability Bill and NIST CSF 2.0 | Webinar

March 20 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am CDT

Did you know that 78% of publicly disclosed ransomware victims in Florida were local government entities, affecting cities, towns, countries, and school districts? With the ever-evolving cyber landscape, it can be difficult to stay ahead of threats even if you’re doing whatever you can to keep your organization secure.

The hope is that the Cybersecurity Incident Liability Florida House Bill will help with this problem. The idea behind the bill is that if organizations comply with the requirements outlined in the bill, the organization will not be held liable in connection with the cybersecurity incident. Cybersecurity events cost both public and private sector organizations millions of dollars every year, so this proposed legislation could make a huge difference for compliant organizations.

One of the frameworks that will help organizations comply and fall under the protection of this bill is NIST CSF 2.0, not to mention that the Local Government Cybersecurity Act already requires public businesses to comply with this framework. Join our upcoming webinar where KirkpatrickPrice expert, Todd Atnip, will discuss NIST CSF 2.0 and how it could set your organization up for success as the Cybersecurity Incident Liability House Bill moves forward.
